Merchant Timeline

Date of Application through June 05, 2023:
START YOUR ITEM NOW!!!! Why now?? Because you don’t want to wait until the last minute. The theme for this round is Get Splashed. You can translate this theme however you wish, get as loose or as literal as you want. Make it sexy, make it sensual, make it something from your heart that TRULY reflects your store’s products. BUT START MAKING IT NOW! Don’t wait until the week OF the hunt.

Upon Approval:
Put out your sign out when you receive it.

June 05, 2023:
Last day of applications. All applications after this date go into the Fill-ins/Possible next round folder.

June 15, 2023:
SIGNS MUST BE OUT BY THIS DAY. You will receive a folder with the object and instructions.

June 20, 2023:
HINTS MUST BE IN BY THIS DAY. If you don’t know what your hint will be or do not wish to give one on the website you can use the hint giver built into your hunt sign instead. We need to know your hint or intent to use the hint giver in your sign so we can draw the store lineup. This helps ensure the hunt and website run properly for hunters.

June 05, 2023 through June 10, 2023:
SufferingFrom Lockjaw and her RL hubby will make a list of the stores, cut it up, and shove it into a bra cup from which Leannan’s RL hubby pulls out your store lineup. Yes, really. This is how we roll in HYIS, and besides, you can’t get much more impartial than the RL hubby who rolls his eyes that he is being forced to help out. Then Leannan will prepare the hunt objects for you.

June 25, 2023 By 11:59pm SLT (23:59):
MAKE SURE YOUR OBJECT IS OUT. If you don’t think that you will be home/awake before starting time, PLEASE put your object out BEFORE you are unavailable.

July 01, 2023 at 12:00AM SLT (00:00) through July 31, 2023 at 11:59PM SLT (23:59):
The hunt is on!

August 01, 2023 at 12:00AM SLT (00:00):
The hunt has ended and your hunt object and sign are now inactive. We encourage you to sell your item in your store if you wish. Leaving your hunt gifts marked somehow as from a hunt (perhaps even set for a lower price than your normally-priced items) and in a place designated for previous hunt items (on a shelf, table, etc) is a great way to provide a good deal and is a useful marketing strategy.
